Hey maybe cousins descended from Peter Barclay/Barkley. Good to hear from you. Hope you do that research about Peter's parents to see if you might be related to the Barclays of Texas. I expect that Walter was still using the Barkley spelling back then, as his name is shown as Walter Barkley when he married Elizabeth McQueen in 1804 in Madison Co Kentucky but Barclay in Texas. You may find out quite a bit about these Barclays by accessing Tyler County Texas Genealogy Society and then Barclay information. Also, search for the Barclay Bastion for information about Walter's brother Robert's family.
