I am looking for a Emma Porter Mccoy Clay. I was told through family that she was a Porter, and that when she was a year old her mother Martha married Jesse Mccoy. I know that she Married my GGrandfather Edward Frank Clay from Ky, and they had 8 children I also know that she was married before to a Barber (Barbour) But I cannot find any Documents proving her mother or father. I was told that her father was John Doud Porter, But he had children by his wife the same year, and his wife was not Martha. I was also told that Marthas full name was Martha Jane Porter (Porter was her maiden name). I cannot understand it.Emma was Born in Carter County but Martha was born in Elliot County.If anyone can help fill in the blanks I would be FOREVER GREATFUL.
