Your John Barbour would be my 2nd cousin, 6 times removed. My records show that he married Susannah Wilson in 1763. They had ten children: Eunice, John, Joanna, Esther, Miriam, Dorcas, William, Susan, charles, Robert.

He was a farmer by profession and a presbyterian by faith. He drowned in 1719.
