Elton,
Thanks so much for replying to my message. My father is still alive and he doesn't want anything to do with finding his family. He says that the gave him away so they didn't want him. I don't see it that way. I believe that his birth mother had reasons for what she did. My dad was raised as an only child as was my mother and I am also an only child. I would really like to know if there is family out there somewhere. All my life I have wondered about this. My grandmother (who raised my dad) used to tell me about when she got him. His adopted parents loved him very much. My dad never told me anything untill recently when I started questioning him. He doesn't like to talk about it. At one point in my life I wondered if maybe I was the one adopted instead of him. But my mother assured me that wasn't the case. It was always kept quite by my parents. And since I have been researching all of the families in my line and his birth family is the only one I know nothing about, I am more courious then ever.
Thanks again for your help.
Dee
