My grandmother's parents were Lee & Liddie Jones, they are, I believe, buried in Galena, Ks; my grandmother, I remember having told us that there was supposed to be cherokee in our blood & I remember her saying her grandmother, I believe, it was had walked the trail of tears; though, I'm not sure on which side, or her name my grandmother was born in Vinita, OK; her name was Mae Elizabeth Jones; I believe she had a brother named Ernie (?) I believe they were left orphaned at a young age & lived with relatives growing up. by orphaned, I'm not sure how or in what way.
also, noticing Susannah Davis posting; My real grandmother, on my real dad's side, had been a Collins' .
A 'Susannah Wyett Davis Bartlett' married Thomas Collins; Thomas was supposed to have died in Spotsylvania Co., VA about 1789; Susannah's mother was a Susannah Davis; areas surrounding this time was Spotsylvania, Albemerle Co., VA, Madison Co., KY. my email address: scross01@alltel.net
