I am descended from the Barbour family on my mother's side (her maiden name was Barbour). Her family is from the Flemingsburg/Morehead/Neon/Caney Creek area in eastern KY. I've been told that we are descended from Landers Barbour from England, who came over (as best we can tell at this time) either in the late 1600s or early 1700s.

Is is possible that some earlier marriage into or out of my mother's family occurred?
