Hi Maureen, I have a John Barbour in my family tree who married a Susannah Wilson. This is what I have on him:

John Barbour (1739-1784) was born in Falmouth, Maine. He married Susannah Wilson in 1763. Their children were: Eunice, John, Joanna, Esther, Miriam, Dorcas, William, Susan, Charles, & Robert.

John's parents were Hugh Barbour (1710-1796) & Mary Bean (1710-1802). Hugh's parents were John Barbour (b. abt. 1687 in Scotland) & Ann ? (d. 1725). John's father was John Barbour (b. abt 1660 in Scotland and drowned in 1719 in Falmouth, Maine).
