Plyer is son of george barber(first seen in Agusta Co.VA in Dec. 13 1744 at a sale of Daniel Monahan's "this property was in now town of Vinton across the creek from Roanoke
Va." George next Petions for a road to be built at craigs creek his Property was probobly on the juntion of Barbour and Craig creeks in what is now Craig Co. Va. this is due west of Roanoke about 30 miles and this co. is joined to W.Va. New Castle is the co. seat.By 175O Georges widow is remarried to Mathew Patton (the historions there informs me this is the family of Gen. George Patton, if he is anyones tree.) and they leave va. with at least sons plyer and george for N.C.
