Hello Ina, after reading genealogy forum from Barbery, place to which I went to search information and data for this family surname, I found your message, lines in which
I read about your relative, who had Barbary surname. When
you search information about your relative, among people
of Barbery surname, is because you realize that your relative might had changed a letter of her surname?.
Or in fact, that might happened in time with your family
surname, or other branches of Barbary surname in U.S.A., or
other parts in the World, that changed to Barbery?.
My name is Ronelo Barbery, I live in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, South América, Where my first Barbery ancestor came probably before but near to Year 1,800, from Europe.
His name was, wrote in Spanish lenguage, Juan Barberi (Juan means John in English). As you see, also in this case, in
Spanish lenguage and in time, the form of surname writing, had changed in a letter, from Barberi to Barbery, probably betwen years 1,885 and 1,900. I had no
more notice before year 1,800 or near to it, about Barberi surname, in Europe
or any where else in the world.I would be pleased, if you had some information or data, about Barbery surname, origen
or ancestors in U.S.A. and or in the World, and you want to send, explain or share that information.
Sorry because I have no information, about the search for data of your relative, and I apologize for answering your question with another question.
Kind regards.
Ronelo Barbery
