Any Barbers out there with Maryland roots...
My GGGG Grandfather, John Barber, indicated he enlisted in the Maryland 3rd Regiment in 1782 in the Revolutionary War.He was about 15 years old at the time of his enlistment. He was born in 1767.This information was found on his application for a Revolutionary War pension. He later appeared in Franklin County Georgia in the 1790's.He eventually settled in Carroll County and lived there from about 1830 to 1850.If there are any Barbers out there with Maryland roots I would appreciatehearing from you.
P.S.He also mentioned Lancaster County.Which is most likely Lancaster Pennsylvania.
Thanks.
