A biography of Orlando B. Barber is included in "Progressive Men of the State of Montana". Parents: Samuel and Olive May Barber, natives of MA and NY. In 1850, Orlando married Miss Samantha Gates, born in NY. Samantha died 28 Dec 1899. Two children: Ellen (Mrs. D.W. Tilton, of Butte, MT), Charles, both born in Pennsylvania. On 8 Jan 1901, Orlando married Miss Bessie Bartlit, born in Essex, NY, daughter of Elihu Bartlit.
