Searching for any decendants of this BARBER family. William Lafayette Barber was the son of Olive Beaver and Richard Lafayette Barber. Richard was born abt. 1850 in Madison Co., TN. His parents were Joel (b. 1815 NC)& Mary Barber (b. 1815 TN).
Richard Lafayette's siblings were William H.,b. 1835 TN, George W.b. 1837,Mary A., b.1839, Joel A. b.1842, James K.P., John Franklin b. 1847 and Sallie Barber b. 1853 TN.
Richard Lafayette Barber married H.C. Oliver in Madison,TN. Richard and Katie Barber(b. 1857 TN)and dau. Lena (b. 1877) were in the 1880 Census for Craighead County, Arkansas.
Richard Lafayette Barber married Olive Beaver(b.1882), the daughter of Harriet R. Beaver(s)in Arkansas.
William Lafayette Barber had sisters, Bonnie,Nelia, & Bertha. I only have information on John Franklin Barber who married Virginia Donald in Arkansas.
