LAST CHANCE ITEMS:
MRS. C. BARBER and family are visiting her parents, MR. and MRS. G.W. MASBARGER, this week.
MR. JOSEPH SPROTT is replacing his barn that was burned Jan. 2d, with a new one, 40x40 feet.
We received intelligence this morning that MISS JANE RISHER, of this township, was married yesterday. We did not learn who the lucky man was or what his name is, but he resides in Nebraska, where he will return in a few days, and where we hope they will live a long and happy wedded life. One by one they drop into the mysterious realms.
There have been near 550 rabbits killed on about 40 acres of ground south of Last chance, and still there are plenty left for seed.
Epizootic has not altogether subsided. There are a few cases among the horses of this neighborhood. MR. A. L. RISHER lost one of his horses one day last week, that making the second one he has lost this winter with that disease.
MR. MCNIGHT still seems to be rantankerous toward SANDERS, and says if MR. S. crosses his path that he, (MR. M.) will surely hurt him. We would advise MR. S. not to cross MR. M's pathway, especially at long range, for MR. MC. is one of the long range fighters.
MR. BELL, the blacksmith is doing a thriving business driving nails.
MR. GEORGE BARGER and bride are spending a part of their honeymoon at HENRY SIGLER's near this place.
The young people of this vicinity had a splendid time at MR. LANSEY's last Tuesday night, tipping the light fantastic toe.
Hog cholera is subsiding and the hogs are lifting up their snouts in thankfulness.
-- MORE ANON,
JONAS.
