Joshua Barber Saratoga Dist. Albany Co., NY 1779
I am seeking genealogical information on the descendants of the Joshua Barber, who lived in the Saratoga District of Albany County, NY in 1779.
On the October 23, 1779 Saratoga District Tax List, Joshua Barber's farm was assessed at $20.00
On the March 2, 1779 Saratoga District Tax List, Joshua Barber's farm was assessed at 20 pounds (page 9)
Joshua Barber was a tenant farmer.(He is not in the Albany County Grantee Index.)
Joshua Barber is the son of 1705-Moses Barber and brother of 1737-Simeon Barber, a/k/a Symon Barber, who lived in the Saratoga District from c. 1769 to c. 1787.
Joshua Barber was born after 1740.
No record of Joshua Barber's death or marriage have been found.
Like his brother Simeon, he may well have been Abraham Ten Broeck's tenant before the Revolution.
In 1782, both Joshua and his brother, Simeon, leased land from General Schuyler in Lott 16.
(See 1805 Schuyler Chancery Decree recorded in NY Department of State Docket 35 at page 312).
Lott 16 Farm 5 - South71 A. 1782 lease
Joshua Barber was listed as living on the west side of the Hudson River - 1786 Saratoga District Tax List
In 1790, Joshua Barber is listed as living in the Town of Stillwater on the 1790 NY State Census List.
Does anyone know anything about any possible wife and/or descendants of Joshua Barber?
Thank you for your help.

Walker. {Robert Walker is a Quaker}
