Candice,

I think your James Gray Barbee is different than Gray Barbee, Jr. (son of Gray). I think your James Gray Barbee was actually the son of James Cain Barbee and Catherine Campbell. James Gray Barbee (b. 8 Jan 1815, Orange Co., NC; d. 4 Mar 1853, Caldwell, Burleson (Lee) Co., TX), married to Miranda Burrow (b. 1820 or 1824, Carroll Co., TN; d. aft 1856, TX) in Nov 1834, Carroll Co., TX. 6 children: Virginia Jane, Napoleon B.B., Mary Miranda Hinton, Banks M. Burrow, John B., and James Gray Barbee, Jr.

If this is your James Gray and you want whatever information I have, please go ahead and e-mail me.
