Seeking info. on Thomas B. BARBEE, enlisted as a Pvt. with Co. D, 9th Reg. Tenn. Cavalry on 28 Sept. 1863 at Muddy Creek, Tenn. at 18 years of age. After a hospital stay, he was assigned to New Co. B, 9th Reg., Tenn. Cav. was mustered out with Co. 11 Sept. 1865 at Knoxville. Reason to believe Dandrige, Jefferson Co. was his home, His Wifes name was Margeret James, and a son named John, born 16 Jan. 1868 according to a Declaration for Pension by son John of Cocke Co., Tenn. on the 1 april, 1904, not sure if Johns mid. int. is T or F, spelling is poor. Also not sure if the 9th Reg. was Union or CSA. There is a Grayson Co., Tx. and a Love Co. (IT) Okla. after the War for Southern Independence.
