In Reply to: William Barbee, the emigrant by Doyle T. Brittain of 1653

I have a note from an ancestor stating Claud Barby, who was Williams ancestor (either a father or grandfather) was a French Huguenot, and Claud arrived at Jamestown, Virginia from London England, settled at Mannikintown, VA - about 1634-35. In 1753, William his descendent received a grant of land from the Earl of Granville (see Orange Registration November 8, 1792)
Did William come with Claud? Does anyone have any records of William's Grandfather or Father Claud?
