I have found some information on Virgina Barbee b ca 1821 who married William Patton 6 sep 1853 in Scioto Co., OH.
She was dau of Joshua Barbee married to a Margaret.
Trying to place parents of Joshua. Margaret died 9 Jan 1849 in Scioto Co and Joshua m # 2 Elizabeth Mitchell -- a widow with at least 2 children -- 20 Jan 1850.
From census films Joshua was b ca 1808 in VA. Other Barbee's in Scioto Co. descend from William and Frances Curtis Barbee. William is son of Benjamin Barbee and they are from the Culpeper Co., VA area.
I would like to hear from descendants of Barbee's in Scioto Co., OH
