First of all, my posting has an error and you are correct about the marriage taking place in Caroline Co VA.
I have not found any further info on Elijah Barbey/Barby/Barbee since the posting of this message. Elijah Barbee remains a complete mystery. His connection to my Barbee family or any other Barbee family has not been proven. I would be interested in any information that might surface connecting these families. Good Luck
