Searching for any information available on the N. W. T. Barbee that married Martha Gilbreth in Newton County on 22 November 1866. This may have been the son of James Barbee of Marion County, TN. and a sibling of other children known to have been born in Newton County to James. James and his wife met an early death and their children were "farmed out" to non-Barbee families to be reaised, causing them to be lost in all records. If you know of any other Barbee children raised in this manner between the years 1860 and 1880, any such information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
