I don't have any of my files with me, but I believe William lived mostly in Portsmouth OH area. Are you from there?
Wm & Francis did live briefly in butler county, ohio, but moved back to Scioto Co. Lots of his family is traced from there. I thought for long time that Ben and his family crossed the Ohio River in the Portsmouth area because of Wm., but now I am have learned some other factors that influenced migration from VA to KY. And I do believe that Elijah Barbee and Ben are related, just not sure how.
I need my files before I can quote too much, as it is just off top of my head right now.
