John "Barba" Barbee is confusing. I was told by a descendant that "His tombstone reads " here lies the body of John Barbee ( and it does clearly spell " Barbee " ) born 1780 dide ( actual spelling ) 1872 at the age of 93 "" I was told by another that after Caterah Tucker died her married his cousin Frances "Fannie" Harwood on May 23 1855 and they had Ransom Duncan Barbee 1856-1935.
