Looking for William J Barbee parents and earlier kin. He was born and lived in Jasper/Newton Counties Missouri and was born in 1850 in Joplin, Mo. Married to Mary Frances Adams, b 1856. Their children, Cora-b. 1873, Leon, b. 1878, Myrtle Mae, b. 1880 ( my grandmother married to Eli Denman somewhere before 1898). Other children, Oscar, b. 1882, Roy, b. 1891, Jesse, b. 1893, Ida, b. 1888. Some info says there were 9 children in all but I have found only 7. I have more info for Mary Frances Adams Barbee but would like to find more about the Barbee line. New at this and certainly wished I had asked more guestions of my grandmother. Thanks.
