Seeking info on parents & siblings, etc., of Adaline whose maiden name presumably was Barbee.
She was born ca 1831, presumably in Orange co.
She married Chesley Page Horn, probably son of Joshua Horn in 1849.
1850 census lists them with a baby not yet named.
In 1851 Adaline(?Barbee?)Horn married Ansel/ancyl Lynch.
By 1860 they were in Carroll co TN w several children. There in the early 1860s she died and Ansel Lynch married a sister of Chesley Horn. Joshua Horn lived with the family in 1870 in Carroll co TN. Biddy Rhodes had been w them in 1860.
In Orange co, the Lynch family lived in NW part, near Back Creek and cedar grove church & cemetery.
Ansel Lynch's father was Thomas Lynch (seek his parents) who married Betsey Carden/cardin c1826. I think Betsy had a brother, William Cardin. Her parents were Patsy Carden who married John Cardin c1802.
ANY info on Adaline, apparently a Barbee, or Lynch or Carden/Cardin families would be most appreciated.
I will be away from computer beginning Sat Sept 5, 2009 but plan to stop at Library in Hillsborough probably about midday thursday sept 24.
