Does anyone have any information about Francis Courtney who died in 1788 in Fauquier Co., VA.? Or how he/she relates to the names Foley, Hitch, Harris or Darnall?
An inventory was taken in 1789 and signed by Thomas Foley, Thomas Harris and Christopher Hitch.
In the Minute Book 1788 - 1791, the court has Andrew Barbee, SR. with Jeremiah Darnall as security, 500 pound bond for obtaining letters of administration of the estate of Frances Courtney, deceased. Thomas Foley, Christopher Hitch, Thomas Harris and Richard Harris or any 3 were to appraise the estate of Frances Courtney, deceased.
Francis is spelled both with an i and an e. I really could use some help with this.
