My Barbee book for for the William Barbee line. It was written by Nannie Mae Herndon in maybe the 1970s.
I got my information that William Barbee born about 1660 had a father named William Barbee from Ed Smith. I asked him where he got his information from and this is what he told me
"It has been so long since I obtained the information.............looks like two sources.
First William BARBEE 1660 from a gedcom of one Raymond Watson.
Second W.B. father of 1660, from a gedcom of one Deby Hill. "
I have found a few other people that say William Barbee had a father named William Barbee. I am going to see if I can contact them.
