Pierre Barbary dit Grandmaison was born on 21 July 1755 at Ste.Genevieve, Quebec and died on 8 April 1826 at St.Eustache, Quebec. He married (1) on 22 July 1782 at Ste.Genevieve to Marie Madeleine Lanthier, who died in 1802/3. Pierre married (2)in Quebec to Marie Louise Morin, dau. of Charles Morin and Marie Angelique Monet. Marie Louise was born in 1783 in Canada, and died in 1824 at St.Eustache, Quebec. Pierre is descended from Joseph Pierre Barbary dit Grandmaison who came to Canada a soldier in the Carignan Regiment and married Anne Marie Lebrun, who came to Canada as a "filles du roi"
