My name is Jennifer Barbaree-Bishop. I grew up in El Dorado, Arkansas. My father is Benny J. Barbaree, son of Maurice Ocie Barbaree and Ruby Nell Holloway-Barbaree. I have always been very curious about my family history. Ever since I first started school, I had a somewhat unique last name that hardly no one could pronounce. I always asked my parents and grandparents about our last name. I never really got a lot of answers that satisfied my curiosity. My grandfather claimed that the name was French. He used to kid me about our ancestors being French pirates. I am not so sure...he was quite a story-teller! I would love to know anything about my name or heritage. Please write me back.
