Barbaree/Blackshear/Barley

I think that maybe I am on the right track here. If I am not please let me know--this is all so confusing. Edward Barbaree married a woman named Barsheba and they had a son named Thomas who moved to Coffee County Ala. Thomas married married Mary A. Blackshear and they had at least two daughters that I know of Martha and Sarah Bersheba(my gggrandmother). Supposedly, The Barbarees are of Native American hertiage and looking at the pictures that I have of the ggrandmother Sarah, she does seem to have Native American features. But I was told that Thomas Barbaree worked with the miltia to move the Creeks from their land. Sarah married John L. Barley and they lived in Coffee County. I am still trying to find out about the Barbaree and Blackshear lines of my family. Since I don't live in the area--I keep hitting stone walls. Any help would be appreciated. jayflgal@aol.com
