Hi I have done a little bit of research into the Downie's only to do with the children of Edward Lawson Downie born abt. 1869 died 1945 buried at st.andrews parish church grave yard in barbados . he married Evalina Amanda Grant in 1891 and later married a Clara Ince , Edward fathered 18 children is this the Downie ( and his surname was spelt Downie ) that you speak of when you mentioned Edward Downey ?
