Brathwaites of Barbados (St.Peter and St.Andrew)

I am interested in finding the origin of the Brathwaite surname in Barbados.

The Brathwaites I am particularly interested lived in St.Peter's and St.Andrew's Parish in the mid - late 1800s.

I have only been able to find (on the net) information concerning the Brathwaites from the southern parishes of St.Phillip and Christ Church. I am not sure if there is a connection between these two groups.

I would greatly appreciate any information you are able to give.
