Carol,

Toni (www.lowcountryafricana.org) is VERY busy in setting down all the documented on those who worked on all 30 Drayton plantations. She was hoping to get everything online by the end of May, but has had to put this off until the second half of June. I hope I remember to let her know that you are anxious for a reply. Do you use facebook? Or have you ever thought of doing so? If so, you might like to know about the Drayton Fellowship on facebook. It was set up for people to connect up with one another - especially for those with links to either South Carolina or Barbados or both. Almost 100 members have joined up since it was started in April this year. I would very much like to know your particular interest in the Draytons. Perhaps you are descended from either those who owned the plantations - in which case you are related to me! - or those who worked on them. Have a look at my website - www.grimke.co.uk - especially the newsletters and the links to the site. Looking forward to further correspondence with you. I'm sure Toni will respond to your query soon! Best wishes, Bill Grimke-Drayton.
