I am looking for info on my great grandfather James F Barb he was born abt 1870 and died abt or aft 1892 he married Delilia Cowger born Aug. 1872 died June 1892 Two children my grandmother Dora E Barbe born 1890 and Lillie M born 1892. My Sister is the keeper of the family pic's and before our Mom died she gave her grandma's family pic's one is of and old woman in a rocking chair sitting outside and all grandma ever called her was "Gradma Golden Barbe"
Our grandma was born at home so her berth registration was delayed so when she needed it in 1955 she had to have a copy so she had to get affidavits from people that knew her growing up to get a certified copy I have that copy and on it it lists an affidavit from an aunt Millie Brake age 83 yrs doc. date April 18 1955. I list the birth place as Pugh, Webster Co WV. Any info on James F(maybe Franklin)Barbe or Golden Barbe would be very much apreciated.
