I have a Gordon Wesley Barrigar, born abt. 1839 in Canada and died March 20, 1919, married to a Maria Tusan. I believe the census record below places him in Columbia Township, Tuscola, MI in 1880. If this is your Gordon W. Barrigar, I show that he is the son of William Barrigar (born 1/3/1806 in Matilda Twp, Dundas Co, Ontario and died 1/15/1866, presumably in Ontario). William was married 1/22/1826 to Mary Lenox (born 1814 in Ontario and 3/11/1881 in Hanesville Twp, Ontario). I also show that Gordon Wesley Barrigar may be my GGGG uncle, as he is the brother of the man who appears to be my GGG grandfather (James Walter Barrigar). My information is taken from World Family Tree file #v80t0067.ged; sources are not included with this file, so it may or may not be completely accurate. Public records in Ontario do back most of this up, however.
Following is the 1880 Census information for Gordon W. Baringer of Columbia Twp, Tuscola Co, Michigan. This household is separated by only one family from the household of James W. Barriager:

Hope this is helpful to you. I'm still working on my line -my grandmother, Lillian Myrtle Guilford (m. Ernest Edwin Case), is turning out to be something of an enigma. My family records show that she is the daughter of Ann Barrigar and an unnamed Guilford, but my research points to LeRoy Royal Guilford as an adoptive father and Ida Mae Barrigar as her mother (no natural father has been identified). If you happen to know anything about this, I'd be very grateful for the help, as I'm hitting one brick wall after another.
Thanks in advance for anything you may have, and happy hunting!
