Well my research into the Baptista family connection didn't work to my good John c Baptista wife's father was a Manuel Cebrahla or Manuel Cebralrta or Manuel Cebrahta can't make out the writing of the death certificate her Mother was a Mary Alameda any way this Amelia Baptista arrived in Calif about 1890 and settled in San Pablo about 1892 died and buried in st. Joseph in 1916. so my hopes of a silva Baptisa connection doesn't work out like I hoped, all people listed on the Death Cert. are from Portugal, but most of those of the 1920 census said they were Portuguese from Portugal, they didn't indicate that they were from the Azore Island. Well to more checking, barbara
