Well Elizabeth My connection to the Baptista family is still a mystery. I just got a copy of Amelia Baptista death certificate, It is very hard to read, first her husband John Baptista provided the information on her death certificate and,This I thought may be my Great Grandfather, but the Amelia on my grandmother (maiden)side and the Amelia that married John had a different maiden name. My Grandmother Maria Baptista Silva mothers maiden name is suppose to be Amelia Peposa. John Baptista wife Amelia father name was Manuel Cebrahta the best I can figure it out.but both Amelia Baptista and Maria Baptista came to the USA and California at or around the same time. I REALLY FEEL THIS IS MY GREATGRANDMOTHER AND BOTH SHE AND HER DAUGHTER(My Grandmother) came over at the same time. Need to research ship logs I guess. Any way will be more then happy to pass this info on to anyone interested. As we all know information on death certificate depends on the person who gives it, Barb
