On page 293, it shows:
John Quincy Adams BANTA, born at Madison, Ind., married Sarah Evalyn Farrell, Jan, 1848. He was a physician, and during the Civil War was a surgeon in the U.S. Army. His wife was born in NY, Jan 31, 1823, and died June 8, 1868. He died Apr 21, 1888.
Issued:
1)Helen M. BANTA b. Oct. 20, 1848 m. James M. ODELL.
2)Mary Gertrude BANTA b. Feb 8, 1850 m. Thomas S. ODELL.
Parents of John Quincy Adams BANTA on pages 171-172, they show:
Cornelius BANTA married Rebecca ECKELS. He was a merchant in Belleville, Ind., and died Apr 4, 1857. His widow died May 20, 1871.
They had 11 children listed. John was their first child.
There are more info. in this book that I didn't list them above.
