Charles W & William E Banta were brothers, sons of William J and Margaret C. (Goff) Banta. These 2 marriages were first cousin marriages. William J. Banta and Thomas H. Banta were both sons of Abraham and Elizabeth (Thorp) Banta.

I think the book is very useful. I would caution that not all info. is accurate, some of dates and places on my Banta line were not accurate. The early years are well documented and it is a fascinating history. The reprint is available from Higginson Books, 1-978-745-7170.
