Brenda -- almost all of our info comes from "A frisian Family - the Banta genealogy" by Theodore M. Banta written back in the late 1800's. It tells the whole story of the trip from Holland, the name, the patronymic system, etc. and continues through generation nine, I believe. I'm gen. 11 or 12 and havae been added to an addendum. Sometimes you can pick up reprinted copies through the bookfinder web spots.
