My Line is through the Durier/Durie/Duree. Pierre (Peter) Durier/Durie b. 1690 and Judith Demarest b. 1690 are my 5g-grandparents. Samuel Durie b. 1721 and Weyntie Banta b. 1721 are my 4g-grandparents.
On down to my grandmother Laura Melissa Duree Hunt.

In addition, assorted sibilings along the way married Bantas and Demarests. The index of Howard Durie's book has several pages of Bantas and Demarests who were in some way related to 350 years worth of Duries.

Are you related to Anna Seever Durie (later Banta)?

He has a nice account of Anna and her life in general. Also there is quite a story on Anna SeeverDurie as the sole adult survivor of a massacre. She fought off the attackers and later escaped with her 6 y/o son and infant daughter. It is not quite as flowery as the version written by George Demaree, but can all be documented. Howard seems to have been a real stickler for documentation. Nice to have had someone do all that very careful work before I even got started.

I'll be glad to e-mail it to you if you'd like. I recently transcribed it from the text of Howard Durie for another researcher.
