Yes, my recollection is that he IS now deceased; he had done an awful lot of work on updating the Banta Genealogy. Someone ended up with his files etc., but I sure can't remember who. You might check with John Banta in Arizona, jtbanta@infinet-is.com if anyone has the info, John does. When you find out, do let the rest of us know!
