My records show Epke Jacobs of Bonta was born about 1619 in Harlengen, Friesland, Netherlands. He died about 1690 in Hackensack, Bergen Co., NJ. He was married to Sitske Dircksda who was born 1624 in Friesland, Netherlands. They married about 1651 in Friesland, Netherelands. She died about 1660 in New York. They had:
Cornelius Epke Banta (1652-1719), Seba Epke Banta (1654-1700) - married Marytje Arianse Sips (b.abt 1658, married 11/6/1678, died ??), Hendrick Epke Banta (b. 1655; died abt 1740), Derrick Epke Banta (1657-abt 1718), and
Weart Epke Banta (1658-abt 1690).
Seba and Marytje had: Johannes Banta (abt 1690-1782) - married Margaret De Groot on March 31, 1716; Hendryck Sibese (1694-1774) - married Annetie Jansen DeGroot on May 9, 1719.
