There is a Cornelius Banta in the Cook Genealogy Tree. He was born in KY and married Rebecca Eccles. We think this would be in the early 1800s. His daughter, Nancy Jane Banta was born 3/31/1832 and married Henderson Cook on 1/6/1853. She died 6/10/1923 and is buried in "Irons Cemetary", Hendrick County, IN.
