I would be very interested in knowing of any
relationships between your Banta families and
my Brown line. My ggggrandfather was Amos A.
Brown who made the same trek west. One of the
Banta men is listed in the probate records
of William F. Smith whose wife was Amos
daughter Lovinia. She is my gggrandmother.
The records are in Tazewell Co. Ill. It has
always interested me that these families moved
together so many times, but I could never find
any relationships except friendship. Thanks,
