I am a descendant of several of the Low Dutch Coloney(Banta,
Demarest, Montfort, Ryker,) and suggest you also check the
records of the Shaker Society at the Filson Club in Louisville,
Ky. and History of the Banta family. The Low Dutch Coloney
was led into Ky by Hendrick Banta 3rd. (my gtgtgtgtgtgrandfather, twice, once by each of his 2 wives.) One
book is Banta Pioneets and Records of the Wives and Allied Families by Elsa M. Banta and another is The Bantas of Pleasant
Hill, Kentucky, by Joan E Murray. There are also several good histories of the Demarest family abailable, Happy hunting, a
very interesting family.
