Dear David,
Mary Banta married Garret Bergen, Jan 13, 1814, in
Kentucky, and then moved to town of Franklin, in
Johnson Co., Indiana. She died in Vinton, Benton
Co. Iowa, Aug. 23, 1858, while on visit to her children.
Her husband was a tanner, and operated a tanyard as
well as owning a farm. He served as a soldier under
Lieut. Zachary Taylor during 1812 Indian campaign.
