Peg, don't know if this is of any help, but I have an Elizabeth Banta who was married to Gilbert Brady Jadden. She died 02-May-1877 in Gas City, (Grant County), IN. They had one child, Gilbert Brady Jadden. That's all I know about her, her husband then married Mahala Connett, and my ancestors are the Connett family. I am told that there are still Banta's living in this area in Indiana though. Lynn
