I used to know and am related to some Bantas in Cass Co. Indiana. Ira Banta is not familiar to me, but may be related to George Banta.who lived in the west of Logansport. He married my father's first cousin, Cleo Terrell and they had three daughter: Shirley, Katherine, and Georgia. It has been many years since I have seen or heard of them, but I think that Shirley married a Richard (?) Hand and probably still live nearby.
