Mike...I have two copies of "A Friesian Family," by T. M. Banta. One a photocopied version I got years ago from University Microfilms, the other a signed original that was given to me by a good friend. I also have " Banta Pioneers, Their Wives and Related Families," by Elsa Banta, which I ordered from her. Both books are now available from Higgenson at www.higginsonbooks.com. These are top quality books and are reasonable.I also have a Banta book on early Bantas who were founding Shakers in KY. This is by Joan (Banta) Murray. I think this book is listed for sale in Everton's "The Genealogical Helper." All of these are good to have in your Banta collection. The most essential is T. M. Banta's for complete genealogy to 1893. The Elsa banta book is really a treasure and is somewhat updated from T. M.'s. Robert L. Banta bantarl@aramco.com.sa
