There are two books which are very helpful on the Bantas.
1. "A Frisian Family" by Theodore Banta, published in 1893.
2. "Banta Pioneers and Records of The Wives and Allied Families" by Elsa M. Banta, published in 1983.

I purchased both of these books, not too long ago, from Higginson Book Company, 148 Washington St., P.O Box 778, Salem, Massachusetts 01970. They have a web site. I don't remember the cost but think it was about $64 for #1 and $35 for #2. I have no financial interest in Higginson Book Co. and am not trying to sell anything. However, these two books were very helpful to me in tracking the Bantas of whom I am a descendant. Best Regards, Doug Day
